| These are pictures of our
departure from Vancouver. We were only in the city long enough to go
through customs then to catch the bus to the docks. Our bus driver gave
us a brief scenic tour through Vancouver but I had gone to sleep because
he had an annoying accent and told terrible jokes. This is why there are
no pictures of the city while traveling through.
In these pictures you will see another Celebrity Cruise Line ship, The Infinity. The Infinity is a few years newer, a little larger, and a lot more expensive then The Mercury. Also you will see sulfur fields and the sun which was a rarity on our voyage. We were told that there are only about 40 sunny days throughout the year in the South Eastern parts of Alaska that we were visiting. We only spotted the sun a couple of times in about 2 minute intervals during our trip until we reached Anchorage. In the Anchorage pictures you will notice that the sun is shining.
